Lesson 16
FOR TEACHERS ≈40 min to teach · 23 slides · 9 checks 2 min a slide, 1.5 a check. An estimate, not a lesson plan.
Words with a dotted underline have meanings — tap one. So does the big word on every drill card.
REF 〜て、〜て · てから · くて/で · どうやって ›
1. 〜て、〜て、〜ます — sequence of actions
朝ジョギングをして、シャワーを浴びて、会社へ行きます。
Only the final verb carries the tense:〜て、〜て、行きました。Never してました、浴びてました…
2. 〜てから — after doing
コンサートが終わってから、食事しました。
Emphasizes that A finishes before B starts. More explicit than a plain て-chain.
3. Linking adjectives and nouns
| Type | Link form | Example |
|---|---|---|
| い-adj | 〜くて | ミラーさんは若くて、元気です |
| な-adj | 〜で | この町は静かで、きれいです |
| noun | 〜で | ミラーさんは会社員で、28歳です |
Irregular: いい → よくて.
Polarity rule: linked adjectives must agree in direction. Don't mix praise and complaint with くて — use が: この部屋は広いですが、古いです。
4. N1 は N2 が adj — topic + sub-subject
日本は交通が便利です。
ミラーさんは背が高いです。
大阪は食べ物がおいしいです。
5. どうやって — how / by what route
東京大学へはどうやって行きますか。
— 「大手町」から地下鉄に乗って、「本郷三丁目」で降ります。
