な-adj and nouns drop だ before か / かどうか — unlike と思います (L21), which keeps it.
embedded wh-question
部長がいつ来るか、知っていますか。
これはだれが作ったか、教えてください。
どこでチケットを買うか、わかりません。
Choosing between them:
If the embedded question contains a question word (いつ · どこ · だれ · 何 · どう) →か alone.
If it's a yes/no question → かどうか.
The embedded clause is in plain form, and the subject inside takes が.

その店へ行ってみます。
一度、着物を着てみたいです。
食べてみましたが、あまりおいしくなかったです。
Conjugates as Group 2: てみる → てみたい → てみました → てみて.
Means "try it out and see" — not "attempt with difficulty" (that's 〜ようとします, later).
おいしいかどうか、食べてみます。
どうすればいいか、聞いてみます。
〜かどうか、わかりません。
ちょっと調べてみます。
やってみます。
確かめてみましょう。
Read the prompt aloud, take answers from the room, then reveal.
'I don't know whether I'll make the meeting.'
'I don't know whether that shop is famous.' (有名= な-adj)
'Do you know when the manager is coming?'
'Please tell me who made this.'
'I'd like to try wearing a kimono once.'
'I'll try going to that shop.'
