1. N が ほしいです — want a thing

Negative:

ほしい is an い-adjective: ほしくないです / ほしかったです / ほしくなかったです.

Not used to state a third person's desire directly (that needs ほしがっています, later).

2. V ます-stem + たいです — want to do

Object particle: — both accepted

Negative: たい also conjugates as an い-adjective: 飲のみたかったです / 飲のみたくなかったです.

Don't use たいですか to a superior — it sounds intrusive. Use 〜ませんか instead.

Like ほしい, たい states your own desire. For someone else use 〜たがっています — , not .

3. 場所ばしょへ V ます-stem に行いきます — purpose of going

4. どこか / 何なにか — indefinite

The particle は/を/へ is normally dropped after どこか・何なにか.
